GP in Ireland
With the number of General Practitioners in Ireland close to 2500, it’s only been a matter of time until the need for an informational website about their businesses appeared. At IrelandStats.com we’ve decided this is the time and thus we present you with the most comprehensible database of GP information, inlcuding but not limited to things like phone numbers and addresses. Even though the vast majority of Irish GP’s runs a private practice, most of them honor HSE issued Medical Cards, as well as GP Visit Cards, among others. The same cards can be used to obtain free immunisation of children via the Mother and Infant Care scheme. Similarly, HSE covers the cost of of at least a part of pregnancy related visits. If you don’t have a HSE card or a GP card, you will have to cover the cost of the visit and/or medication.
